 Have you ever felt like life is just escaping you? You have so much to do whether its family, work, caregiver, etc. You have the desire to travel or enjoy life, but you just don’t have the time. You look back 10 years from now and wish you had done this, travel to somewhere new, expose the kids to different cultures or maybe it’s just fear.

Escapes For You was founded not to escape life but, to not let life escape you. I always have the desire to travel the world, expose the kids to different culture and experiences but always talk myself out of it due to fear.  Fear held me back. Sometimes we allow fear to stop us from doing what we want, and my fear was flying.  I never like heights, hence the flying issue. I didn’t mind traveling domestically, but then we had a dilemma as my dear husband Sean do not like the long-distance driving.  I think driving to New York quite a few times broke him.
The opportunity to become a travel agent was introduced to me and I loved it... I wanted to travel; I love the benefits of it and I also love helping people. I felt like the timing was right, so I told Sean about it, he was happy for me and we do what we always do when venturing into new territory. We went to God in prayer and ask Him if this is from Him that He will bless it and if it’s not, close the doors upon it.  

Through faith, I decided to become a travel agent. Still having a fear of flying, we booked a flight to New York with the kids. We arrived in a thunderstorm, so the turbulence was bad. After we landed, my son AJ said “Ma, you weren’t scared?” and it was at that moment I realized that my fear was gone. I had such peace during the flight that I had no choice but to say, “Thank you Lord!”. Once you are a child of God, you have nothing to fear. If we don’t step out on faith and trust God, our fears will hold us back. So, I will no longer let life escape me. I will grab hold of it and enjoy it with my love ones.
